Security IssuesbetterMD.net utilizes leading-edge encryption technology, aggressive monitoring procedures and strictly enforces operational security measures to safeguard against inappropriate access, modification or tampering with the betterMD.net website and all associated components of our network.betterMD.net places the utmost importance on the security of patient and provider records. Whenever you submit or modify information at betterMD.net, we will send such information over the Internet using Secure Socket Layer, version 3 (or other later versions) ("SSL") encryption technology. The information submitted to betterMD.net will be stored at our secure Internet Service Center. This facility is located in Reston, Virginia, USA, and consists of 33,000 square feet of raised floor space, and provides the highest levels of security, monitoring and backup systems. Security systems include 24 hour-a-day video recording and on-site security personnel. Backup power sources are provided by uninterrupted dual battery and generator backup systems with a three-day fuel supply available on-site.
